Badminton Manitoba is proud to present a new league that will revolutionize the way you think about badminton. When we designed this league we were thinking of the weekend warriors, the former high school badminton players, the parents, the seniors, the social bunnies and all the individuals wanting to play badminton in a casual way at a level that they enjoy.

Make a team of work buddies, re-kindle your high school friendships, combine players from different badminton clubs or all of the above. It's your decision how to make your team, just make sure you register on time!

What we came up with is a Team League (MABL) that will be separated into 4 tiers based on skill level, that will play approximately once per month between October and April.

Here are the basics of the league for 2018-19:

Who:

Up to 32 Teams separated into up to maximum of 4 skill categories

Adults (18+)

What:

Play Another Team ("Tie") Approximately Once Per Month

Each "Tie" Against Another Team Consists of 8 Matches: 2 MS, 1 WS, 2 MD, 1 WD, 2 XD

When/Where:

The Canada Games Sport for Life Centre (145 Pacific Ave)

Thursdays from 8:00 - 10:30 pm

Why:

Because it brings players of all different backgrounds together for friendly "beer league" style competition and who doesn't enjoy that?

How:

FORM A TEAM

Must be 18 years of age or older as of December 31, 2018

Minimum 8 players (2 females minimum)

Maximum 14 players (2 females minimum)

If unable to field a complete team please indicate required number of players on the Roster Form and the MABL Committee will attempt to find the required team members.

Recreational Division - Recreational players

Recreational/ Intermediate Division

Intermediate Division - Competitive players

Advanced Division - Elite players
