2021 Beyond the Perimeter Badminton
Junior Showdown

 

 

Hosted at the brand-new Community Resource & Rec Centre
(501 Centre St., Niverville) 

A showdown tournament for junior athletes hoping to hone their skills for the season.
Play games all day long! The aim of this tournament is to give junior athletes as many games as possible. 

Limited entries allowed in singles. Register before the spots fill up!

TIMES
Saturday, November 20th from 4pm to 10pm and Sunday, November 21st from 9am to 2:30pm

REGISTRATION DEADLINE
Tuesday, November 16th at 11:59pm CST

Late registrations are not guaranteed to be accepted and if accepted, will be subject to a $10 late fee.

EVENTS: U11, U13, U15, U17, U19
Events will run through to completion prior to start of next event (NO Sunday finals)
Guaranteed 3 matches (if possible). Limited spots in singles events!

ORDER OF PLAY
Saturday: Singles events, followed by Doubles events (if possible)
Sunday: Doubles events, followed by Mixed Doubles events

The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada.

SHUTTLES
Yonex nylon shuttles will be used. Match shuttles are included in the entry fee.

AVAILABILITY
Players should be available for the entirety of the events in which they are registered.

PANDEMIC PROTOCOLS
All coaches, parents, guardians, and potential spectators will be required to show proof of vaccination (QR code + government-issued photo ID) to be allowed tournament and building access.
At this time, athletes under 18 are not required to show proof of vaccination.
Masks are to be worn by all, at all times, with the exception of participant athletes while on the field of play.

(Please note that Manitoba is currently one of the only provinces able to run any competitions in our sport. To keep competition possible and to ensure viability of our tournaments and competitions throughout this season, we do highly suggest vaccination to all athletes born in 2009 or earlier.)
