Western Canadian Team Championships
The Western Canadian Team Championships is one of the few completely TEAM based badminton competitions in Canada. The tournament is typically conducted through team work between Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia, however, entry into the competition is still possible from Nunavut, Yukon and Northwest Territories and USA. Each of the provinces rotate who hosts the tournament with the host Province being elgible to enter TWO teams. The 2017 Western Canadian Team Championships will be held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The teams compete in the categories of U15, U17 and U19 with each team tie including 1 Boys Singles, 1 Girls Singles, 1 Boys Doubles, 1 Girls Doubles and 1 Mixed Doubles. To increase the importance of this competition even more each age category winner will win a cup.
