Peter Høg Gade Christensen (born December 14, 1976, in Aalborg, Denmark)[1][2] is a retired Danish professional badmintonplayer. He currently resides in Holte in Copenhagen

If you don't know who Peter Gade is, it's difficult to describe with mere words what he had done for the sport of badminton, how much he has accomplished personally and how dear he is to the sport due to how long he has remained at the top of the game.

But if you were to look online you would find countless videos, stories and documents attesting to his fame within the sport - it surely wouldn't take long for you to find out who he is and what he has done.

Just recently the agressive-style playing Dane decided it was time to put away his racquet from competitive international play. The moment comes almost with a sense of sarcasm to the people who know Gade because we're used to him coming back for yet another year almost every year, and so it's difficult to grasp what the badminton circuit will look like without him.  But alas, here we are having to move on looking for the next young badminton star to take his place.
