Badminton Canada has decided to pilot a U15 age category at two Junior Elite Series Events this year. The events will be the 2014 Alberta Junior Elite Series Event - November 7th to 9th and the 2014 Atlantic Junior Elite Series Event - December 12th to 14th. After the pilot is complete we will be doing a detailed analysis to determine if this age category should be included in future Junior Elite events. The evaluation will take place in January 2015 and recommendations will be implemented as early as September 2015.
In terms of age eligibility players will be eligible for these two events if there birthday is on or after January 1st, 2000.
Players in the U15 event will receive the same level of service at these two events as the U17 and U19 age categories. Their registration fees will also be the same as the U17/U19 players.
