The Westman Open is a nylon shuttle tournament that typically is played at Brandon University. This year however, due to schedule conflicts, the tournament will be held at Crocus Plains High School.
In following years, the Brandon Badminton Club will be looking to schedule the popular Westman Open in November at Brandon University. Doing this will distribute the "Open" Manitoba tournaments more evently throughout the season, rather than be heavily congested in the Jan-April timeframe.
This tournament attracts many B/C/D players and is known for it's wonderful social atmosphere.
The Westman Open tournament is not sanctioned by MBA, therefore does not contribute towards provincial ranking points and does not require referees or umpires. The registration, seeding and draw making will be done by Brandon Badminton Club.
