Tournament Description
The 2012 Aboriginal Developmental Badminton Tournament is a badminton event that is open to people of Aboriginal, Métis, or Inuit descent. The tournament is the beginning stage to creating a community of Aboriginal badminton coaches, officials, players and sport leaders within Manitoba. The tournament itself is the first of its kind offered in Manitoba and will not only provide a safe and exciting weekend for Aboriginal youth, but will introduce them to a competitive badminton atmosphere that can be the start of a long term commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
Other Information:
Shuttles: Nylon Shuttles will be used. Please be aware that shuttles may require speed testing before match begins. Officials are present to assist with shuttle speeds.
Refund Policy: Badminton Manitoba does not permit refunds of MBA Memberships or Tournament Registration Fees.
Availability: Participants must be available to play during the entirety of the events that they are registered for. MBA will not accept special requests for time, for any reason. All participants must be prepared to play during finals on Sunday.
The Tournament will enforce a strict 10 minute disqualification rule and 3-minute warm-up rule.
Clothing: Participants must have a change of clothing and non-marking indoor athletic shoes
Equipment: Participants must bring their own racquets
