The Manitoba Badminton Association Identified Player Program was started in 2002 with the goal of providing players discovered in our Summer Camp programs, School programs, High School provincial championships and school coach recommendations the opportunity to receive High Performance training without joining a member-owned facility. Our goal is to give these athletes the technical and tactical skills required to help them progress and eventually compete for Manitoba at Inter-Provincial games. Since the inception of this program more than 60 pupils have advanced their Badminton skills with us.
Our Provincial Coach, Archie Chawla, along with other qualified coaches work hard to ensure that Manitoba will continue to produce competitive teams well into the future. Thanks to the coaching received through the Identified Player Program Robert Dobslaw, Ryan Giesbrecht, Trinh Nguyen and Dan Savard have progressed into the Manitoba Badminton Association High Performance Program.
