Western Canadian Team Championship Try Outs

Players must be members in good standing with Manitoba Badminton Association

Memberships - $20.00/Each


All players must be full-time residents of Manitoba

Registration Deadline: Monday Nov. 9, 2015 @ Midnight

Late Registrations will not be allowed.  Registrations not done online must be emailed or faxed to Badminton Manitoba WITH PAYMENT by the same deadline.  Please include full entry and contact information.

Please make yourself available for the entirety of the Tryouts.  Matches will not be postponed

Top 4 Male & Top 4 Female in U15 & U17 will be selected for one of the two teams Manitoba will be making for the competition January 15-17th at the Winnipeg Winter Club.
Due to the competition taking place in Winnipeg, we will be adding two more positions for males and females each, in both U15 and U17 categories, as well as 1 training team member in each category. These positions will be selected based of of the tryout results as well as previous/recent tournament results.

Those that make the team can expect 2-3 practices in December and early January, as well as 1 team event. Team members will be required to pay an $80 registration fee and the training team members will have a $20 registration fee.


 If 1 of the 6 selected players does not take his/her place on the team, then the member of the training team will automatically be named to the team.

All matches best-of-3 games to 21 points.  BWF Rules and Regulations will apply.

 

In the case of a tie in the Round Robin, a tie will be broken by the following:

Head to Head Result
Difference of Games Won & Games Lost

If this leaves 2 players, the tie will be broken by the head to head result

Difference of Points For & Points Against

If this leaves 2 players, the tie will be broken by head to head result

 

The 2016 Western Canadian Team Championships will be on January 15-17, 2016 in Winnipeg.
