How you can be a part of this exciting new chapter in Badminton Manitoba's life!

Friends of Badminton Manitoba - Committee Formation

Do you care about the health of badminton in the Province 10-20, maybe 50 years from now?  Are you interested in contributing to the long-term overall health of the sport?

If you answered yes to these questions, we're looking for somebody like you to serve on the Friends of Badminton Manitoba (FBM) Endowment Fund Committee.

FBM Committee Search Application Form

Do you know somebody who's life has been affected by badminton for the good?  Maybe their best friendships were formed through the sport of badminton?  Maybe their favorite sport is badminton?  Maybe it helped them lose weight, or possible stay healthy well into their 60's, 70's or 80's. Either way, badminton has a huge effect on the life of Manitobans and is a strong contributor to our overall culture, economic benefit and health/wellness.

Manitoba has been host to some of these great badminton events in the past (and future!):

  • 2015 Jr & U23 National Badminton Championships
  • 2010 National Badminton Championships
  • 2010 National Team Camp
  • 2007 Jr National Badminton Championships (U14/U16)
  • 1999 Pan Am Championships
  • and more.....

The following Manitobans have represented Canada at the International level:

  • Anil Kaul (2-time Olympian, 92' & 96', Pan Am Champion, National Champion, etc.)
  • Jaimie Dawson (Olympian, 96', & French Open Champion, Pan Am Champion, etc.)
  • Kara Solmundson (Olympian, 2000, etc.)
  • David Snider (3 time National Champion, Pan Am Champion, etc.)
  • Ben Fultz (World Jr Championships)
  • Andrew Harrison (Team Canada, Pan Am Championships)
  • Alexandra Dansen (Team Canada, Pan Am Championships)
  • Sean Chawla (World Jr Championships & Pan Am Championships)
  • Brad Enns (World Jr Championships & Pan Am Championships)

Manitoba is one of the most supportive and generous places on Earth.  We see time and time again that Manitobans are willing to stick up for each other and support the things that will make our Province better for years to come.  The FBM Endowment Fund is something that will ensure badminton will be accessible to all players, and that we can continue to grow in our ability to assist clubs, athletes, coaches, officials and event hosting.

For this to happen though, we need YOU!  So please fill in the above application form or give it to somebody who you think would be perfect to help us out, and send it to Badminton Manitoba.

Thanks so much for you help and look forward to working with all of you, committee member or not, in the near future!
