Come cheer on two Manitoban teams as they compete against 3 other Provinces in the 2012 Western Canadian Team Championships, starting this Friday, January 13th at the Winnipeg Winter Club!

The Western Canadian Team Championships are the only U14/U16 team event throughout Western Canada and this year they are held in Winnipeg Manitoba, at the Winnipeg Winter Club (200 River Ave).
It is great to see the young talent from Western Canada all together competing in the same building. The energy is always fantastic and are elevated even more due to the team atmosphere. It is a true badminton experience that you don't want to miss!
Teams compete in "Ties" and every team will compete against each other once in the round robin, followed by a playoff game for 1st place and 3rd place. The teams play 14 matches in total against each other which consist of boys and girls singles and doubles, as well as mixed doubles. Ties typically last 2.5-3 hours in length.
Spectators are highly encouraged to witness this marvelous event. Try to arrive before the ties start to not miss any action!
