Jason Athayde Hired as Grassroots Developer & Events Manager

Welcome Jason Athayde!

Hired as Badminton Manitoba's Newest Employee for the next 6 months!

Read more about him and his position here!

The 6 month position of Grassroots Developer & Events Manager was developed in order to ensure we fulfill the requirements of a few one-time grants that will allow us to service a number of aboriginal, isolated and under-privileged communities through the next 6 months in the form of youth leadership training.  The position requires a skilled coach, umpire and technologically savvy individual who can teach youth how to coach, umpire and/or run tournaments using modern tournament software and visual livescore techniques.

We are very excited to hire Jason Athayde until March 31, 2017!

Welcome to the Team!

Jason joins our team with a near perfect resume including Level 3 Theory & Technical Trained Coach, Provincial Umpire Certification, Bachelor of Science & Bachelor of Education from UofM.  Jason complements that with years of experience coaching MBA programs such as IPP and DWP, and he was the co-chair of the 2015 Canadian Junior Badminton Championships at UofW Duckworth Centre.

Jason will be working in the office for the first few weeks, but will slowly transition to be on the road most of the time.  You will likely see him at the Herb Richard Manitoba Open when we attempt to employ Livescore technology for the first time in a local Manitoba tournament.

If you need to contact Jason, he can be reached at [email protected]
