Tournament Description

Winnipeg Winter Club is hosting the first Provincial Open tournament of the year.  This tournament is a 0.75 ranking tournament, which means it has 2 referees throughout the tournament, umpires for finals, and feather shuttles are used throughout the event.  A 0.75 tournament is the 2nd highest ranking tournament for provincial tournament, behind only Badminton Manitoba's Premier Series (MB Open & MB Closed).

There is a lunch planned for Saturday, as well as a tournament souvenir and prizes for those who make finals, so they're going all out for this tournament!

Refund Policy: Badminton Manitoba does not permit refunds of MBA Memberships.  Tournament Registration Fees will not be reimbursed after the registration deadline unless requests are accompanied by a medical note or immediate family crisis.

Availability: Participants must be available to play during the entirety of the tournament.  MBA will not accept special requests for time, for any reason.
Due to speed of play being unpredictable, participants are asked to be ready a minimum of 30 minutes prior to their posted match.  It is ultimately the player's responsibility to be present for the start of their match
The tournament will enforce a strict 10 minute disqualification rule and 3-minute warm-up rule

Clothing: Participants must have an indoor change of clothing and non-marking athletic shoes

Equipment: Participants must bring their own racquet(s)

Volunteers: If you would like to volunteer at the draw desk, please contact Gina at [email protected] or (204) 925-5679

Players are responsible for being present for all their matches, and the "Approximate Schedule" is only a guide and should not be used as "fact".

Thursday: Singles (5:30pm - 9:00pm)

Friday: Continuation of Singles (5:00pm - 11:00pm)
