Badminton Canada Hires High Performance Manager and Communications Manager

OTTAWA ON – Badminton Canada is pleased to announce the addition of two new staff members to the organization. 

Mr. Jordan Bridal and Mr. Rahim Karmali will be joining Badminton Canada in the newly created roles of High Performance Manager and Communications Manager respectively.

Jordan Bridal joins Badminton Canada in the role of High Performance Manager. Jordan will play a key role in implementing, supporting as well as further developing Badminton Canada’s High

Performance Plan and will work closely with National Team athletes to ensure they reach their full potential.  Jordan comes to Badminton Canada with over 14 years of experience working in

the Canadian Sport system; with stints with Commonwealth Games Canada, the Canadian Paralympic Committee and most recently with the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Jordan shares: “I

am very happy to become a member of Badminton Canada at this very exciting time. I look forward to helping Canadian badminton athletes achieve great success on the national and

international stages.” Jordan will officially start with Badminton Canada May 24, 2016.

 

Rahim Karmali also joins Badminton Canada in the role of Communications Manager. For over 15 years, Rahim has been involved in the world of badminton as one of our top former junior

athletes, coach and tournament organizer from Montreal, QC. Upon completing his Masters in Communication at the University of Ottawa, Rahim brings a wide range of experience in bilingual

media, marketing, and communications. Rahim shares: “It’s a privilege and honour to join Badminton Canada. I look forward to developing new communications strategies to better promote

our beloved sport of badminton throughout Canada and the globe.”  Rahim will manage and develop content for Badminton Canada website and social media networks as well as Badminton

Canada’s primary media liaison.

and share with all Canadians their success both on and off the court.”

Badminton Canada embauche gestionnaire de haute performance et des communications

OTTAWA, ON – Badminton Canada est fier d’annoncer l’ajout de deux nouveaux membres à son organisation. Messieurs Jordan Bridal et Rahim Karmali se joignent à Badminton Canada, aux

fonctions nouvellement créées, respectivement comme que responsable de la haute performance et responsable des communications.

 

Jordan Bridal s’unit à Badminton Canada en tant que responsable de la haute performance. Jordan jouera un rôle déterminant à implanter et soutenir, en plus de développer le plan de la

haute performance de Badminton Canada. Il collaborera étroitement avec les athlètes de l’équipe nationale pour s’assurer qu’ils parviennent à atteindre leurs pleines capacités. Jordan arrive

chez Badminton Canada, avec plus de 14 ans d’expérience dans le système sportif canadien ; il s’est impliquer dans l’organisation canadienne des Jeux du Commonwealth, au Comité

paralympique canadien et, dernièrement, à la Coupe du monde féminine de football 2015. Jordan a déclaré : « Je suis très heureux de devenir membre de Badminton Canada en ces jours

très excitants. Je m’engage à supporter les athlètes canadiens de Badminton pour qu’ils réussissent grandement, à l’échelle nationale et internationale. » Jordan entrera officiellement en

fonction le 24 mai 2016.

 

Rahim Karmali se joint aussi à Badminton Canada comme responsable des communications. Depuis plus de 15 ans, Rahim s’investit dans le monde du badminton; il a été un des meilleurs

athlètes junior, entraineur et organisateur de tournoi à Montréal. Rahim est titulaire d’une maitrise en communication de l’université d’Ottawa en plus de posséder plusieurs années

d’expérience en marketing et communications bilingues. Rahim a affirmé : « C’est un privilège et un honneur de me joindre à Badminton Canada. Je m’engage à développer de nouvelles

stratégies de communications afin de mieux faire connaître notre sport bien-aimé au Canada et dans le monde. » Rahim va développer et gérer le contenu pour le site web de Badminton

Canada, ses médias, ses réseaux sociaux en plus d’être le porte-parole officiel de l’organisation.

 

« C’est une époque excitante pour Badminton Canada, a déclaré Joe Morissette, Directeur général. L’embauche de ces deux individus exceptionnels renforce grandement notre pouvoir à

supporter nos athlètes, à faire connaître leurs réussites à sur le terrain et au-delà. »
