Mens Doubles, Womens Doubles, Mixed Doubles

 

Categories:

 

A - 0.5 ranking

 B or C - 0.25 ranking 

 

Guide for Choosing Your Calibre of Play:

 

A- Consistently finish in A draws in Provincial Tournaments or in Top 20 Rankings

B - Consistently finish in B draws in Provincial Tournament or in Top 40 Rankings

C - Consistently finish in C or D draws in Provincial Tournaments, below Top 40 Rankings

 

All events require a minimum of 4 entries or they will be combined with the other draw(s) to produce a large enough draw to run.

All registered participants of the small entried event will be called to see if they are still interested in participating or would like a reimbursement of fees.

 

Cost:

 

1 Event - $50 (GST Included)

 

2 Events - $60 (GST Included)

 

MBA Regional Membership is mandatory. MBA Regional Membership Available During Online Registration ($10.50)

 

Registration Deadline:

 

Thursday February 28, 2019 at 11:59 pm

 

$10.00 Late fee will apply

 

$10.00 Manual Entry Fee will apply

 

Players who enter after deadline may not receive ranking.

 

Draw Date: Draws will be posted online Wednesday March 6, 2019

Tournament Description:

 

Come out and play this fun doubles and mixed doubles tournament.

The tournament is Round Robin format.

 

 

Regulations:

 

Refund Policy: Badminton Manitoba does not permit refunds of MBA Memberships or Tournament Registration Fees unless requests are accompanied by a medical note or immediate family crisis.

 

Availability: Participants must be available to play during the entirety of the events that they are registered for. MBA will not accept special requests for time, for any reason.

 

Due to the speed of play being unpredictable, participants are asked to be ready a minimum of 30 minutes prior to their posted match. It is ultimately the player's responsibilityto be present for the start of their match.

 

The tournament will enforce a strict 10-minute disqualification rule and 2-minute warm-up rule.

 

Clothing: Participants must have an indoor change of clothing and non-marking athletic shoes

 

Equipment: Participants must bring their own racquets

 

Approximate Schedule:

 

Saturday 9 am - Start

Sunday 9 am -  Any remaining mixed matches, group crossovers, and finals

 

Players are responsible for being present for all their matches, and the "Approximate Schedule" is only a guide and should not be used as fact. If the tournament is running ahead of time, it is your responsibility to be prepared for your match.
