2018 Manitoba Seniors and Masters Championships

Registration is now available for the Provincial Masters Championships being held at Springfield Collegiate in Oakbank. There will be a choice of shuttles at the tournament. Both Yonex AS50 feather shuttles or Mavis 350 Nylon shuttles will be available for the games. Choose your favourite type of shuttle.

If upgrading membership be warned that the default upgrade is to purchase a membership for next season. You must change this to upgrading your current season's membership to Regional.

 

Athletes must be prepared to play at any point of the weekend.

 

 

Format: Guaranteed 3 matches.

 

Events: Mens Singles, Womens Singles, Mens Doubles, Mixed Doubles

 

Age Categories: 30+, 45+, 60+

 

Cost: 1 Event $25.00

2 or 3 Events $40.00

 

A $10.00 late fee will be applied for any entries after the deadline and may not be accepted.

A manual entry fee of $10.00 will be applied to any manual entry.

 

Includes: Yonex Shuttles, Souvenir, Tournament Referee

 

MBA Regional Membership is mandatory. MBA Regional Membership available during online registration ($10.00)

 

 

Tournament Description:

Come out for a great atmosphere, plenty of matches and a tournament that is full of fun and excitement.

The only tournament in Manitoba that is exclusive to adults 30 years of age and older makes for a great social atmosphere.

 

Approximate Schedule:

9:00 am Saturday Singles, followed by Doubles

9:00 am Sunday Mixed Doubles

Events to be completed prior to moving on to the next event.

 

Age categories with low entries may be combined with the next lower age category to guarantee more matches for the players.

 

Winners of the 45+Finals will have their name go down on the record on the Barry Ursell Trophy

 

Other Information:

Shuttles:  Choice of Yonex AS50 Feather Shuttles or

Yonex Mavis 350 Shuttles

 

Refund Policy: Badminton Manitoba does not permit refunds of MBA Memberships or Tournament Registration Fees

unless accompanied by a Doctor's note or Family Emergency.

 

Availability: Participants must be available to play during the entirety of the tournament.

 

The tournament will enforce a strict 10 minute disqualification rule and 2 minute warm-up rule.

 

Clothing: Participants must have a change of clothing and non=marking indoor athletic shoes.

 

Equipment: Participants must bring their own racquets.
