The Manitoba Badminton Association High Performance Program is designed to provide Athletes, with opportunities to receive the training, support and experiences they need to excel in National Competitions. The intent of this program is to reward our Nationally competitive athletes with funding to continue their competitive aspirations, in exchange for helping the rest of the team in their development. Athletes in our High Performance Program are expected to be a positive roll-model within the Badminton Community and represent the Manitoba Badminton Association to the best of their abilities at events throughout Canada.
Our 2010 - 2011 High Performance Program is already underway and has some exciting changes this season. We have assembled a team of service providers that are well respected throughout Manitoba and can provide the necessary tools to allow our athletes to exceed at the National level and represent Manitoba in Inter-Provincial Competitions.
In junction with High Performance are the athletes who were selected to train to compete at the Canada Winter Games in February 2011. This year promises to be full of competition and hard work.
Once again, EFFECTUS Athlete Development will be training our athletes.
We have aggressively expanded this partnership for the season as we received rave reviews from all athletes that trained with EFFECTUS during the 2010 - 2011 season.
In addition to EFFECTUS we are very excited to have secured the services of Sport Psychologist Tom Hamond and Nutritionist Jorie Janzen.
