2011 Canada Winter Games
The Manitoba Badminton Association (MBA) and the 2011 Canada Winter Games (CWG) Selection Committee are currently accepting applications for the position of Manager for the Team Manitoba Badminton Athletes for the upcoming Canada Winter Games, to be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, February 19-27, 2011.
CWG regulations require that the Coach/Manager staff be comprised of one male and one female. Archie Chawla, Provincial Coach, Badminton Manitoba, has already been appointed. Applications for the position of Manager can only be accepted from females.
The Manager is responsible for:
- Working with the Coach/Athletes during training and the 2011 CWG competition to make this a positive experience for everyone.
- Administrative duties such as the completion of required documentation on athletes and staff, liaising with the CWG Committee during competition and the distribution of team uniforms.
- Assisting in communicating with the Athletes and monitoring their progress.
- Assisting with travel arrangements.
- Attending the final tryouts to assist with the selection of Team Manitoba Badminton.
- Traveling with the team to designated events, including the Canada Winter Games in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Qualifications:
- Female, 22 years of age or older.
- Previous experience as a badminton athlete, high performance athlete, coach or manager would be an asset.
